Parish Life

Currently, mass is held in the school hall on a Saturday night at 6pm and Sunday morning at 9:30am.

At St Clare’s Catholic Primary school, we are lucky to be part of a vibrant and friendly parish in the heart of Lache, in Chester. We are also delighted to have our church right next door!

Fr Chukwuemeka Nwachukwu, known as Fr Emeka, is our Parish Priest. He joined the Parish in 2016. Chukwuemeka is an Igbo name of thanksgiving to God that means, God has done all things marvellously well. Fr Emeka is from Nigeria and is highly active in school celebrating Masses and Sacraments with us. We are fortunate to have him supporting all our children in their faith journeys.

Fr Emeka liaises between home, school and parish providing nurture, care and support in a wide variety of ways. We value the strong links between home, school and parish as this is real evidence of our Christian community. A number of our Key Stage Two pupils have been trained as altar servers. They enjoy serving at parish and school Masses.

Members of the parish are warmly welcomed to join us for Masses and Special feast days. Many parishioners have shared how much they enjoy experiencing pupils’ active engagement in Mass. Pupils feel supported by the parish through key moments of their journey of faith. Parishioners are prayer sponsors for pupils when they are preparing to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion.
