Starting School in September 2026
Children born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023 are normally due to start school for the first time in a reception class in a primary school in September 2027.
Applications to start school can be made to Cheshire West and Chester Council online or in writing from 1st September 2026. The closing date for applications is 15th January 2027. Parents/carers will be informed of the allocation of places on 16th April 2027. For more information please go to:

Parents and Carers who may be applying for a Reception 2027 place at St Clare’s Catholic Primary School are welcome to come and view the school. Please ring the School Office on 01244 267387 to make an appointment.
Transferring to Secondary School in September 2027
Applications for a Secondary school place can be made to Cheshire West and Chester Council online or in writing from 1st September 2026. The closing date for applications is 31st October 2026. Parents/carers will be able to view allocation of places on 1st March 2027.
